Creative Cloud & Adobe Anywhere for Video and the Making of "Savageland"

“Savageland” was the first feature film to utilize the new Adobe Anywhere™ postproduction system, Adobe’s revolutionary new collaborative workflow platform. The Anywhere™ system allowed the filmmaking team, in tandem with full-service post-production studio G-Men Media, to complete the film’s postproduction phase from various remote locations in real-time. Their groundbreaking partnership was showcased at the 2014 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention in Las Vegas.

The platform allowed the filmmaking trio (based in locations all across Los Angeles and Orange Counties) to collaborate with the editor (in Riverside County), re-recording mixer (San Gabriel Valley) and post-production specialists (Venice) – all in real time. It brought together creative partners from a 300-square mile radius of greater Los Angeles… along with the film’s composers in Newcastle, England.

The film’s post-production design was created using Adobe Anywhere with Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Adobe After Effects CC. Still photographs were edited on Adobe Photoshop CC and three-dimensional renderings were edited on the Adobe Premiere Pro CC timeline. SpeedGrade CC, the powerful color grading system in Adobe Creative Cloud, was also used.
